First, the degree of cutting deformation. Laser cutting machine cutting metal, the local temperature of the metal equipment increases, often leading to local deformation of the workpiece. Generally speaking, the deformation is small, the cutting quality is high; deformation is large, the cutting quality is poor. Control the laser power and the use of short laser pulses can reduce the heating of the part to avoid deformation.

Second, the roughness of the cut workpiece. Laser cutting workpiece, generally vertical cutting, but also bevel cutting. The texture of the cross-section after cutting, the depth of the texture generally determines the roughness of the cut surface. The deeper the texture, the rougher the cut, the worse the cutting quality; the shallower the texture, the smoother the cut, the higher the cutting quality!

Third, the verticality of the cutting surface. Generally speaking, laser cutting metal thickness of more than 10mm, the perpendicularity of the cutting surface is very important. As you move away from the focal point, the laser beam diverges, and depending on the location of the focal point, the cut will expand toward the top or bottom. The cutting edge is off the vertical line by a few hundredths of a millimeter. The more vertical the edge, the higher the quality of the cut. Conversely, the poorer the quality!

Fourth, the width of the cut workpiece. Generally speaking, the cutting width determines the minimum inside diameter of the profile. When the thickness of the sheet increases, the cutting width also increases. Therefore, a high quality laser cutting machine should ensure the same high precision. No matter how large the kerf width is, the workpiece should be constant when it is within the processing area of the laser cutting machine.

Fifth, the degree of burr of the cutting workpiece. High-quality laser cutting machine cutting out the workpiece should be smooth and burr-free. More burrs means that it requires manual secondary grinding, which increases the cost of cutting and determines the quality of the laser cutting machine.

Sixth, the texture of the cutting workpiece. When the laser gas cutter cuts thick plates at high speed, the molten metal will not appear in the kerf below the vertical laser beam, but will be ejected behind the laser beam. As a result, the cut edges will form curved lines that closely follow the moving laser beam. A high quality laser cutter will reduce the feed rate at the end of the cutting process, which can greatly eliminate the formation of lines.
